Just back
Okay Dannii went down like a lead balloon. I was there backstage and in the Golden circle.
Now, it was not her fault that she failed to woop it up. The reason why the crowd reacted like she was some imposter was because Beyonce had just brought the house down. It took all of us at Sony to ensure that Beyonce made an impression and we even brought in designers from US(with very odd haircuts, smelling of piss and looking dank) and Sweden to create a set that overpowered any other act let alone Dannii's. We arranged streamers, male dancers, female dancers, podiums, air thingys, fire works, air fans and a woman at the front of it all with an amazing voice.
It looked poor in comparison to Danniis performance which was straight after Beyonce. Now I could gloat but what I saw out there was an artist struggeling and it was not nice to watch. I am sure Dannii's people knew that Sony were pulling out the stops and maybe they could have included a cover to Danniis set list(which would have reved up the audience)rather that what we call the CD:UK style PA. The crowd at the front simply walked away midway Put The Needle On It-Again I repeat whoever at WEA thought it would be a good idea to release that was totally wrong in my estimations-but anyway, she farted. But don't take that as a diss against Dannii.
Anyway, I hate Party In The Park. Such crap organisation. People watching on CH5 don't realise how many technical problems and delays occure at this event. I am sure Kylie fans remember the terrible feedback problems that blighted-Kylie's-what-would-have-been-fab PA. Sony acts have never had problems up until today. After a massive build up from fellow Sony artist and luvie Darren Hayes, the traditional techie problems reared their ugly heads and delayed Beyonces entrance onto the stage. My throat is still firing hot potatoes after screaming at roadies for not sorting out the problems.
For those who dissed Meatloaf, I will tell you now that not only did he have mircophone problems but the responder blew out. It is lucky that the event is for charity coz record companies usually wouldnt let their major artists perform at such poorly executed events. However there is a reason why Elton and Kylie have not returned. As you can still I am still angry over the glitches in regards to Beyonces PA.
Ashley is in the UK. Woohoo. He is now with the Atomic Kitten posse. He was rather nice and I saw his manhood when I sneaked into the changing rooms. I had a little chat/I cornered him after Atomic Kittens performance and he said hes on their tour now. I promised him for all his good work with Kylie that he'd get work with other Sony artists. For those who have no idea who I am talking about: I&L. Oh and he's single and has lovely long hair.
Nathan: did Dannii actually end up meeting Beyonce? I was too busy making sure Darren Hayes got his little bit to talk about his album.
As for Dannii
she was amazing, it was just a shame that she came straight after Beyonce.
To cut it short.
Anyway....Sorry to bore you all. Dannii rocked but could have rocked better.
Beyonce stole the show.

I hate this summer. I want to go back to Australia.
I have to get up at 4 Am to go to lovely Belgium again.
I hate Put The Needle On It
I love Dannii.

Apparently Dannii was originally meant to be on "after Daniel Beddingfield" at 3:00, but Daniel ended up playing at the start. I personally think Dannii's record company should've gone out of the way to make a bigger bang if they knew she was going to be on after Beyonce, you could tell even Kate Lawler felt sorry for her.

Dannii is headlining T4 Pop Beach, I hope they pull out the stops and really show what Dannii is capable of. Is this event being televised?

Yeah, Dannii and her team should learn from this. If Geri Halliwell could steal the show at the Brits (With those giant legs) I'm sure Dannii could do something similar to just get her in the limelight for once.

Well I wasnt watching the CH5 feed out so I don't know about the poor reception she recieved from a nobody from Big Brother. Kate Lawler can go f:cuk off for all I care. What has she done in her life? Oh only just be on Big Brother. Dannii meanwhile has a record deal and has *fans*. Kate can go back to Essex where she belongs, if according to you, she had a long face with Danniis performance.
I was originally informed that she was on after Daniel Beddingfield but the order is always subject to change. Times and orders are always going to change especially with Party In The Park. When I was given a new rosta, her name was just below Beyonce and maybe it was purely an oversight on WEA's part that any act that came on after Beyonce would have a hard time to follow it. You've got to remember WEA had more acts performing than Sony so maybe they just had their hands full.

Geri stole the show at the brits on 3 or 4 seperate occasions. The union jack dress, the nipple popping out, the giant legs, and then the stunning transformation 
I hope Dannii does do something a bit special (and doesn't wear those leggings!) She's been doing an album medley/latest single release PA for months. Saying that, the concert is only 2 hours long, and there a LOTS of artists, so she really does need to make an impact...

Yeah, she needs to do more publicity stunts, get herself in the paper regularly, she's always in the background and it's always been that way, that's why I speak to people who know her old songs like This Is It and All I Wanna Do, but they have no idea who sings them!

Well, Kate was saying "It must be hard to follow up someone like Beyonce, but I think she did ok" and the like... not exactly positive. I also didn't like that she was left out at the start when they were announcing everyone who was going to perform.

Hope that you are ok. I have been watching PITP and i thought that it was poor, channel 5 should have organised it better as i thought that it was badly shown i mean Kate Lawler cant present something like that to save her life i know that she won Big Brother and i did like her in that, but please she has no talent (well i dont think so) and she is pretty but is that a reason for her to get in tv?? Also who was the random in the green eyeshadow that did some links? And why did channel 5 mess the order up? I know that there might have been late changes and technical probs but i wanted to see bands not interviews and randoms. I was peeved off that they started through Busted and not at the beginning of year 3000
I think Dannii did a great job and it must have been hard for her after Beyonce who i didnt think was all that, but i have never liked her or music anyway
I have written an email re coverage to one of the tv mags as when they did spring break it was much better as you could watch the bands and not be hassled by kate lawler and co

Hmm i'm trying to think of something positive to say, as a fan of course I thought she was brilliant, she looked beautiful and did a great performance but if i was too be an objective outsider.
I'd say yes I think Dannii struggled she doesn't often sing live and certainly doesn't usually perform to such a big audience.
I watched Beyonce and thought wow what a great performance and then oh shít how is Dannii gonna follow that!
Maybe that's why she looked like a scared dear caught in head lights, she looked very tense. Kinda how she was on the first night of NDDP.
And yes Kate whatsherface could have promoted Dannii better.
I thought at the end of her performance i heard boos but I2TS said his friend was there and the audience thought she was good.

The people 'booing' Dannii were black people who say "Booooooo!" when they respect someone and enjoyed the performance.

i think the thing that annoyed me most was that it was a concert and most times you see the whole set from begining to end of each artist, yet this was very jumbled up
BIG UP for meatloaf though for staying 20 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were much worse acts, i.e Busted, Meat Loaf, Simply red umm Liberty X.
And yeh the editing was bad, just as they were about to show Dannii (and Kate even introduced her) they decided to show a performance of Shania Twain! I mean huh?????? And why was Shania singing songs she released like 3 year ago and performed at the last pitp she did!
Oh i'm dreading Dannii reading this thread as well, although I know she's tough and used to critisism and has to hear it.... still..
I wanna give her a big hug and cuppa hot chocolate lol
