It's been a long time since we've put up any real news on the site, so here's a few things that will clear up alot of the usual questions about release dates and other things.

Firstly, as those of you who have seen our tour ad will know, we are releasing a new single on May 26th. It is called 'ALL YOU EVER DO' from our debut album which will be out in the summer. We are going to be shooting the video for the single on March 28th in North London and the video will hopefully be on TV in the first few weeks of April.

Our last video was a real success thanks to all you guys voting online and calling up to request the video so we need your help to make this video even more successful than the last!

We'd like, also, to thank Hell Is For Heroes and everyone who came to the gigs on that tour. It was alot of fun and we played alot of brilliant shows and had some amazing receptions. This leads me on to plug our NEW tour dates that you can check out on our GIG GUIDE. It's gonna be a long tour and we hope to see as many of you guys at the shows as possible, so make sure you and your mates get to as many shows as you can.

You can buy tickets at ALOUD and CLEAR CHANNEL.

Before I end this I'd like to say how great it is to see so many people using our message board and giving us alot of positive feedback. Message board members also get news updates mailed to them before everyone else so sign up to keep up to date with VD and join our online community. And those who are already use the board, try to get as many of your friends to sign up too. Anyway, that's all for now.

Well, our tour is starting really soon and we are looking forward to it alot. Hopefully we will see alot of you guys at the gigs and it should be a really good tour. If anyone still hasn't got tickets you should be able to buy on the door or go to www.aloud.com and order online.

Our new single, I WISH I WAS A GIRL, is out on February 17th so everyone has to put that date in the diary and save up a few quid. Hopefully if things go we'll scale the 'dizzy heights' Secret Smile reached in August or maybe a little better. Remember it is currently on MTV2, Kerrang and P-Rock so keep up the voting!

IF you guys want to hear VD on the radio then keep pestering XFM, TOTALROCK and RADIO 1 and hopefully we can get a few play there too. There's also one more thing to look forward to......VD supporting the mighty HELL IS FOR HEROES!

Make sure you get to any one of the gigs because it promises to be an amazing show, with HIFH building on the their top 30 hit, 'You Drove Me To It' and their upcoming album, 'The Neon Handshake.' The tour will also feature New York band INSTRUCTION, which features ex-quicksand man Tom Capone, which builds on VD's strange tendency to tour with ex-quicksand bands. Well thats it for now, so keep checking back to www.violentdelight.com for more news on the single, gigs and check out the new message board!

'Well we have had a busy time the last 2 months, what with a pretty long tour(our longest so far), finishing off our album and recording a new video. It's been alot of fun, but we are taking a bit of a break from gigging over December, but we wont be away for too long, we will be touring again in late Januray/February playing alot of the shows we pulled out of in early November as well as some new dates.

As those of you who have been reading the tour diray know, we had a realy good time and want to thank everybody who came out and saw us and to all the bands who we played with, especially Raging Speedhorn and our good friends Ill Nino. Hopefuly on the next tour we'll see alot of familiar faces.

Now for some new news(if that makes any sense), we have finally finshed our as yet untitled debut album after working in the US for a few weeks with producer and Ill Nino drummer Dave Chavarri. The tracks sound really good and the session included a new and improved version of the track 'SHATTERED'. The album is currently being mixed in the states by SCRAP 60 productions(36 crazyfists, Anthrax, Cradle of Filth) and should be released through WEA in spring 2003(DISCLAIMER:this may not be true, this is a guess). See the Recording Diary For more info...

Okay now onto the new video! As a few of you may have worked out our next single is 'I WISH I WAS A GIRL' and as you know we have recorded a video for the track which will hopefully be hitting various music TV channels some time in December.

The video was shot in NYC in various locations including, Battery Park and Coney Island and features 4 female VD doppelgangersand alot more, but I'll keep you guessing by only giving out these pictures until the video comes out. As for the date of the single release it will be confirmed in the next few weeks. Well thats about all for now. I hope this answers a few questions. Remember stay tuned for more updates on 'I WISH I WAS A GIRL', the album and continue to use the message board.

11/09/2002
Yo Yo, We have been hard at work recording our debut album over August and are probably about 55-60% done. It looks like our album will be done by a few producers, including ourselves which should be quite interesting. So far we have worked with Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, but over the next few weeks we will be in the studio again, this time with Ill Nino drummer/producer Dave Chavarri.

We are gonna be taking a break from recording and get back on the road in October and early November, but unless you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you'll know that already. Hopefully we will be recording after our gigs in the second half of November and will finish the album before the new year.

I can't tell you guys exactly when the album is gonna be out, but if all goes ahead it should be out spring/summer 2003 and anyway, hopefully we might just put out another single inbetween so you don't forget about us.

Well thats probably the longest and most constructive post I have ever left, but now I've run out of things to say, so hopefully I'll see you at the gigs!
